Governor frustrated with lack of progress on public safety legislation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is frustrated with the lack of progress on public safety legislation at the Roundhouse.

With less than 48 hours left in the legislative session, only one public safety bill has been approved. This bill updates the state’s definitions of “harm to self” and “harm to others,” which lawmakers say will help courts direct certain suspects into behavioral health treatments.
