Denver breaks nearly 50-year-old record for most 60-degree days in one winter

DENVER (KDVR) — This winter has been among the warmest ever in Denver as the city officially broke a decades-old record for the most 60-degree days in a winter.

After the warmest start to the year on record, the city has seen temperatures over 70 degrees this winter. With multiple daily heat records broken, including several days above 60 degrees when high temperatures average in the 40s, the city now has another spot in history.

On Monday, Denver broke a new record: the most 60-degree days in one winter.
