PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. – A stretch of road in Phillipsburg, New Jersey remains closed, after two sinkholes opened up Monday.
The intersection of Summit Avenue and Lewis Street is currently closed for roadway repairs, according to a Facebook post from the Phillipsburg Police Department. Police are asking people to plan alternate routes.
Anyone who notices any changes in the roadway — such as sinking, heaving, or sudden depressions — is asked to report it to the Phillipsburg Police Department so it can be addressed promptly…
