EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Columbia County commissioners unanimously approved the Foundations for the Future’s comprehensive plan Tuesday night, replacing the Vision 2035 plan with changes that include designating the area off I-20’s Appling-Harlem exit as a technology and industrial zone.
The plan maps out the county’s future development for the next five years, covering everything from sidewalks to potential uses for thousands of acres of land.
A bill passed by the House could provide relief to small business owners. House lawmakers said the bill will ease the tax burden on 98 percent of South Carolina’s small businesses.
