Man sentenced to 55 years in prison for setting family members’ homes on fire

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A 74-year-old Ellicott City man was sentenced to several decades behind bars for a series of arson fires set in Clarksburg years ago. David Michael Crawford pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree arson and one count of second-degree arson.

Judge James Bonifant sentenced Crawford on Friday to 55 years in prison to run concurrent to a prison sentence he is currently serving for crimes committed in Howard County, Maryland.
