WDIV reporter Erika Erickson had concerns about Wayne County Sheriff Raphael “Ray” Washington allegedly making sexually harassing comments to her when she worked for him as communications director from November 2021 to October 2022.
So she secretly recorded conversations with Washington and his former chief of staff, Michael Turner, according to WXYZ investigative reporter Ross Jones. The conversations are now surfacing as Washington fights a sexual harassment lawsuit in federal court filed by former sheriff’s office official Regina Parks, who alleges the sheriff touched her buttocks, propositioned her for sex, and made lewd and sexual comments.
