Fort Wayne man reflects on ties to Rev. Jesse Jackson after civil rights leader’s death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A Fort Wayne man says the loss of Reverend Jesse Jackson is especially personal.

Marshall White is the founder and CEO of Unity Performing Arts Foundation, and the son of the late civil rights activist Pastor Jesse White, who was close with Jackson. So much so that the late reverend preached at Jesse White’s memorial service back in 2001.

Marshall White says his father and Jackson were good friends after meeting in the late 70s. He says they were both pastors working toward the same goal and supported each other for decades…
