GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Construction is nearing the halfway point on the new Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple that’s being built in the Grand Rapids area.
The external structure is nearly complete, and stonework is currently being added to the outside walls of the temple, a process expected to be completed by the end of the year, said Mark Hunsaker, a spokesperson for the church.
A grounds maintenance building has also been added to the property, as well as a visitors center and observation deck that the public can visit to watch the construction from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday…
