GREENSBORO, N.C. — Cone Health has received a $1.5 million gift from longtime OB-GYN Dr. Vanessa Haygood, a women’s health advocate.
In recognition of her donation, the MedCenter for Women will be renamed the Cone Health Pearl Walker Haygood MedCenter for Women, honoring Haygood’s late mother.
Haygood, who built her career caring for women—particularly in underserved communities—says her commitment is rooted in her mother’s experience.
