Graduate Student Found Dead in Lake Near Campus 4 Days After He Disappeared

The body of a missing University of California, Berkeley, graduate student has been found in a nearby lake, authorities said.

The Consulate General of India in San Francisco said in a social media post on Saturday, Feb. 14, that local police recovered the body of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, who hailed from the State of Karnataka in India.

Sreenivasaiah, 22, was found dead in Lake Anza in Tilden Park by dive teams from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday afternoon, The Mercury News, Fox affiliate KTVU and ABC affiliate KGO reported. The lake is about a 12-minute drive from the college campus…
