The Calhoun County Clerk & Register of Deeds Office will begin offering fingerprinting services for new concealed pistol license applicants Feb. 17, according to a community announcement.
The service is intended to provide a more convenient, “one-stop” experience for residents navigating the application process. Previously, applicants were required to start the application at the clerk’s office and then visit a law enforcement agency to complete fingerprinting, according to the announcement.
“Many CPL applicants already take time away from busy schedules to complete their application,” Clerk Kimberly A. Hinkley said in the announcement. “Offering fingerprinting in our office helps streamline the process and reduces unnecessary steps for residents, especially in situations where their application requires additional attention.”
Service limited to new CPL applications
The fingerprinting services will be limited to new CPL applications and certain rare or unique renewal application cases…
