Trader Joe’s, the Californian grocery chain known for its eclectic array of products and budget-friendly prices, is opening a new store in the Johns Creek area of metro Atlanta. This addition is part of a broader national expansion. The location on Medley Road near Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road officially opened its doors last Thursday, according to the retailer’s website, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
Building on its presence in Georgia, the chain recently inaugurated a store in Peachtree City. Beyond Georgia, Trader Joe’s has also announced new stores in Arizona, Kansas, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington state, hinting at more potential locations to come, including, perhaps a much-requested spot at Atlantic Station, which residents have clamored for through a petition. This was after Publix at that location closed its doors.
The Johns Creek expansion doesn’t just bring a Trader Joe’s to the community but also signals the arrival of a new mixed-use development known as The Medley. This project, announced by the development’s creators today, includes 164,000 square feet of retail space alongside 833 luxury townhomes and apartments, a boutique hotel, and an outdoor plaza, as stated by WSB-TV.
