A Villager was jailed after admitting he had slapped his intoxicated daughter during an argument.
Officers were called at about 10:30 p.m. Monday to a domestic disturbance at a home on Craig Court in the Village of Oak Hollow, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
A woman who was intoxicated told police that she had been attacked by her father, 65-year-old Timothy Richard Merrill. The woman said she has been experiencing “personal issues” and “going through a lot.” She admitted she had been “crying very loudly,” prompting her father to become “agitated.” She said they had been arguing when her father “slapped her across the left side of her face with an open had approximately 3-4 times.”
Prior to the altercation, the woman had been arguing with her husband and Merrill had arrived to retrieve her, taking her to his home…
