Driver arrested after suspiciously parked for three hours at Circle K

A Center Hill man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after a Circle K employee reported he had been sitting in the parking lot for three hours.

Officers responded to Circle K, located at 900 S 14th St., regarding a suspicious white vehicle at 11:55 p.m., Feb. 9, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. An employee advised that the driver, 23-year-old Jesus Enriquez, left it running in the parking lot for about three hours.

Upon arrival, the officers found Enriquez sleeping in the truck with the engine still running and the radio playing music. One of them knocked on the window to wake him up to no avail. It took an officer opening the door and nudging him several times for him to come to, the report said.

He spoke but seemed to be incoherent, as he mumbled and slurred some of his words. He then fumbled underneath the dashboard like he was looking for something. He also told officers that he had a couple of drinks yet would not say how many or where he drank them, the report said…
