Buffalo, New York – Freezing rain will begin coating roads and power lines across western New York by 5 a.m. Wednesday, with up to a half inch of ice possible before conditions improve after 1 a.m. Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. EST Thursday for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga and Genesee counties.
