‘Justice for Linda Davis’: Emergency protest held in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Just a day after the death of Savannah school teacher Linda Davis, dozens of people gathered to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with the belief the agency is responsible for her death.

Monday, Davis died in a crash after 38-year-old Oscar Vasquez Lopez fled from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE. Lopez ran a red light and made an illegal U-turn when he crashed into Davis, according to the Chatham County Police Department.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) held an emergency protest in Forsyth Park a day after her death. Organizers said it was a way to remember Davis and try to bring her justice.
