Bruns. Co. Schools expands virtual academy to homeschoolers, private school students

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY-TV) – The Brunswick County Schools Board green lit a request on Tuesday to expand its virtual academy opening it up to homeschool and private school students in the district.

The board voted unanimously to expand the “Brunswick Virtual Academy.” The academy previously only served students in grades six through 12 who have long term-illnesses or are at risk of dropping out.

The academy will now serve students in kindergarten through 12th grade who are not currently enrolled in the district…
