SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — J.S.K. Snow Services is back to plowing Syracuse’s sidewalks after the city government fired its competitor Kimble and Kimble, citing “ongoing performance issues.”
The city rehired them as soon as they ended their contract with Kimble on Friday. Within 24 hours, J.S.K co-owner Nick Henry said, they signed all the paperwork and started plowing Sunday morning, starting with the city’s Northside.
“Every neighborhood has its own set of challenges and we were pretty sure the north end got more snow than anywhere else in the city,” Henry said.
Henry says between Sunday and Monday, they’ve cleared sidewalks east of Interstate-81, and north of I-690. Work continued early Tuesday morning, with crews shifting to Erie Boulevard and the city’s Southside…
