WHITE CASTLE, La. (WAFB) – Over 6,000 people gathered in White Castle on Mardi Gras Day for the town’s annual parade, celebrating with floats, music and food in what attendees call a family-friendly tradition.
The parade featured multiple floats moving through the streets of White Castle, with live music and community members participating in various ways, including one person carrying a live snake.
“He just told me to walk around with it, so I just started walking around with it,” said Anajiah Brown, who was carrying her friend’s snake during the parade. “He said he’s been having it for a good couple years, and it’s never bit nobody since he had it.”
