Sleeping Lafayette Parish resident rescued from burning home by neighbor; hydrant issues arise

JUDICE, La. (NEWS 15) — A person asleep during a fire was rescued by a neighbor who saw the flames, but the situation presented a unique challenge for firefighters who responded to put out the blaze, according to the Scott Fire Department.

Officials reported it happened on Herdsman Lane in Judice on Tuesday, February 17, around 10:30 a.m.
