(Youngsville, Louisiana) – A couple of photos after a recent Mardi Gras parade in Acadiana have gone viral because it shows what we’ve been expecting.

For some reason, some people still think that the “squatted trucks” you see on Louisiana roads are cool or attractive, and those who oppose them have long argued that they could be dangerous to those inside and to others on the road.

What is A Squatted Truck?

A squatted truck, also known as the California Lean or Carolina Squat, features a heavily lifted front suspension that raises the front end. In the back, there’s a lowered or stock suspension, which makes the truck look like it’s “sitting” or “leaning back.”

Well, the problem arises when truck drivers get on the road and can’t see what’s in front of them. Because the front truck is raised so high, it can obstruct the driver’s view, posing a danger to the driver and anyone nearby.
