Rankin County authorities arrest wanted drug dealer

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Rankin County deputies and Pearl police announced a wanted drug dealer was arrested.

On February 15, 2026, authorities conducted a controlled purchase of fentanyl and suboxone. Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said the drugs were bought from Kendall Wayne Peden, 29, of Arkansas.

Suspect sought in fatal hit-and-run in Jackson

Peden was arrested and transported to the Rankin County Jail. He was charged with sale of a Schedule II controlled substance and sale of a Schedule III controlled substance.

According to Bailey, Peden was also wanted in Arkansas.
