MSCR Meadowood Neighborhood Center & MSCR Afterschool to host series of Black History Month events

From soul food dinners to youth-led showcases, Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) will be hosting a vibrant lineup of free public events celebrating Black History Month.

The MSCR Meadowood Neighborhood Center, 5740 Raymond Rd, will host inspiring events that are free and open to the public in honor of Black History Month. A Fashion Show & Pop-up – will take place on Friday, Feb. 20, 5-7 p.m., featuring Black fashions of various decades modeled by Meadowood staff. Enjoy snacks and learn about different multicultural resources.

The BHM Community Celebration & Soul Food Dinner will take place Friday, Feb. 27, 5-6:30 p.m Close out the month of celebrations with performances by the MSCR afterschool participants and community members while enjoying a soul food meal together…
