Flood victim’s parents ask court to temporarily stop Camp Mystic from reopening

The Austin parents suing Camp Mystic for their 8-year-old daughter’s death in a flash flood that ripped through the Texas Hill Country are asking a court to stop the camp from re-opening and halt any construction there until after their lawsuit has gone to trial.

Will and CiCi Steward are seeking a temporary restraining order with hopes of preserving evidence at the private Christian girls’ retreat. Their daughter, Cile, was one of 27 campers and counselors swept away from Camp Mystic by the Guadalupe River during a record-setting flood in the early morning hours of July 4.

Cile is the only Camp Mystic flood victim whose body hasn’t been recovered…
