Indianapolis man sentenced after pleading guilty to shooting pregnant wife, killing unborn child in 2025

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to shooting his pregnant wife and killing her unborn child in a planned attack in January 2025.

According to online court records, Jeremy McBride was sentenced Feb. 18 to 30 years in prison following a plea agreement that saw him plead guilty to felony attempted murder and feticide. Under the terms of his sentence, the court recommended McBride undergo mental health treatment while incarcerated. A no-contact order for his now-ex-wife was also issued by the court during sentencing.
