The Duke Energy Foundation awarded Cumberland County Emergency Services a $5,000 grant to support community resilience, disaster relief and countywide emergency preparedness efforts.
The funding will support Cumberland County Emergency Services’ upcoming Disaster Preparedness Expo, a one-day community event designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, connect with local resources and receive essential preparedness supplies. The event date will be announced at a later time.
“This grant allows us to further invest in the safety and preparedness of our community,” said Cumberland County Commissioner Henry Tyson in a press release. “We are grateful to the Duke Energy Foundation and our local partners who share a commitment to protecting lives and building a stronger, more resilient Cumberland County.”…
