Submissions open for Kings River photo contest

SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY – A picture can say a thousand words, and those with a photographic eye are encouraged to “speak” on one of the Valley’s most scenic natural features.

From Feb. 15 to March 30, local photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to submit entries for the Kings River Conservancy’s Sixth Annual Spring Fling Photography Contest. Participants can compete for cash prizes, or simply enjoy a photo walk along the river and share their results.

The contest is broken up into five categories: grades K-6, grades 7-12, community college, adult amateurs and adult professionals. Entry is free for those in kindergarten to community college, and $20 for adult amateurs and professionals…
