Man sentenced to decades in prison after abusing child for years: DA

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A man convicted of molesting a child over the course of eight years has been sentenced to decades behind bars, according to Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen.

On Wednesday, Allen’s office said 48-year-old Jarrett David Simoneaux was sentenced to 30 years in prison without the possibility of parole. He was convicted of three counts of aggravated sexual battery in December.
