Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that Martin K. Obi, 59, of Rosedale, who is a former employee of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS), has been sentenced in Baltimore County Circuit Court for his role in a fraudulent contracting scheme at State correctional facilities.
Joseph Chimah, 67, owner of the general contracting company First Potomac Environmental Corporation, was also sentenced for his connection with the fraud.
Obi and Chimah had previously pleaded guilty to procurement fraud for their efforts to steer DPSCS contracts for maintenance and repairs to First Potomac, a release from the Maryland Attorney General’s Office said…
