New restaurant in Baton Rouge to serve ‘80s and ‘90s nostalgia from Vietnam, Hong Kong

A local restaurateur is opening a new business at the intersection of Highland Road and Staring Lane. Nammìi Asian Kitchen will serve Vietnamese and Hong Kong food with a taste of nostalgia.

Nammìi Asian Kitchen is located inside the former China Taste at 8905 Highland Road, and it will likely open in the first week of March, once the permitting process is complete, according to owner Tam Nguyen.

This will be Nguyen’s fourth local business, after opening Bao Vietnamese Kitchen on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, Bao Asian Market & Deli in Prairieville and Pho Viet Noodle House in Gonzales…
