Man accused of slashing victim’s face while abusing Lincoln woman

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A Lincoln man is in jail after assaulting a woman and slashing a man with a knife, police say.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Ashley Sorensen on Sunday morning. He is charged with second-degree assault, assault by strangulation and two other felony counts.

On Sunday, police were called to a home near Helen Witt and Jacobs Creek drives about 9:40 a.m. on a report of a stabbing. Officers found a 57-year-old man outside who was suffering from a slash wound to his face.
