Police offer safety tips for older adults amid Nancy Guthrie search

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – As the search for Nancy Guthrie reaches week three, concerns about keeping older family members safe continue to grow, prompting local police to offer safety recommendations.

Lieutenant Caleb Rue with the Derby Police Department says two important steps for ensuring safety with older family members are setting up strong security and maintaining regular communication.

“I would say check in at least once a day,” Rue said.
