Deshon Kanye Gregory has been sentenced to a 24-year prison term in a Minneapolis killing that started with a $40 dispute and ended with bullets flying across a downtown street. The 20-year-old was sentenced on Feb. 17 and will receive credit for time he has already spent behind bars, which leaves him expected to serve roughly 15.75 years in prison before moving to supervised release. The July 15, 2025, shooting left 30-year-old Lafayette Collaso dead on his own front porch and rattled neighbors who knew two children were inside the home when the gunfire erupted.
