Wildfire smoke brings hazardous air quality to Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wildfires are impacting not just the landscapes burning, but also the air Kansans are breathing.

Hazy skies and ash are bringing air quality levels down significantly in some areas of the state. While people may no longer notice a hazy sky or even smell the smoke, air quality following wildfires remains important.

Viewers have sent pictures and videos of ash falling from the sky despite being hundreds of miles away from active flames.
