Texas politician plans to turn Epstein’s Zorro Ranch into Christian retreat

SANTA FE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE News 13 has learned the identity of the owner of Epstein’s infamous Zorro Ranch near Stanley, New Mexico. A Texas businessman and politician posted on “X” about his plans to turn the ranch into a religious retreat.

The owner is Don Huffines, who is currently running for Texas Comptroller. Huffines and his wife bought the 8,000-acre property in 2024, the same property near Stanley in Santa Fe County, where there are claims that people were sexually assaulted.

In a social media post from Monday, Huffines said in part, “What the enemy once meant for evil, God can redeem for good.” That’s why he said he renamed the property “San Rafael Ranch,” after the saint associated with physical and spiritual healing.

“It was purchased through an LLC in which his wife was the trustee. He has renamed the ranch and, as of Monday, is claiming that he plans to use the ranch for a religious retreat, which is an interesting turn of events,” said New Mexico Representative Melanie Stansbury (D) Albuquerque…
