What’s happening with Three Dragon Thai? Here’s the latest

After months of anticipation — and plenty of curiosity from diners passing by — Three Dragon Thai is inching closer to its debut, with a new “opening soon” sign now posted at the former Taco Stop site at 6324 S. College Ave.

The family-run restaurant, owned by Mung Htoo, will primarily be serving Thai cuisine while expanding into a broader mix of Asian offerings, including sushi, fried rice, noodles, stir-fries and appetizers.

Inside, the space is evolving as well. Yaw Ni, Htoo’s son and the lead on menu and design, said the former bar area won’t serve alcohol. Instead, it’s being transformed into a sushi counter where guests can watch rolls prepared fresh and order directly. While alcoholic drinks won’t be on the menu, customers can expect options like Thai tea, soft drinks and other nonalcoholic beverages…
