Nonprofit stuck with nearly $15,000 yearly bill after sidewalk fee kicks in

It’s been called a “hidden gem,” but Bluff Lake Nature Center provides a clear impact to the community.

The wildlife refuge sits just outside of Denver’s Central Park neighborhood, spanning 123 acres. It is open to the public 365 days per year, free of charge.
