Over a year after the position was created, the Woodburn Police Department has hired a new DUII enforcement officer.
David Rondon, formerly of the Sherwood Police Department, has been brought on for the Woodburn department’s specialized position. The DUII enforcement officer was introduced in December 2024 to focus solely on clamping down on inebriated motorists in response to a surge in impaired driving and traffic collisions in Woodburn.
Born in Colombia, Rondon moved to Texas at age 9 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school.
