A local woman is being recognized for her efforts to provide in-home care so seniors and adults with specialized needs can maintain their independence and quality of life.
Brooke Doll of the Newberg office of Visiting Angels has advanced to the second round of the organization’s National Caregiver of the Year competition. The award is meted to caregivers “who demonstrate excellence in compassionate, professional in-home care,” a release said.
Doll was selected by the staff of the Newberg office in recognition of her more than two decades of caregiving and has now reached the semifinal round of the competition. The top two finalists will receive $5,000 and $10,000, respectively…
