Man got drunk on date, threatened three black women with boxcutter, court docs say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A 20-year-old man is facing bias crime and other charges after prosecutors say a date escalated into a verbal confrontation in Downtown Portland.

According to court documents and Portland Police investigators, officers responded at 4 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, to a report of a threat with a weapon near Southwest Naito Parkway and Southwest Salmon Street.

Two women told police they were waiting for an Uber when they witnessed an argument between a man and a woman. The woman said they tried to leave on a scooter and fell, and the witnesses said they asked if she was OK…
