LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The University of Michigan Board of Regents is set to vote on two new major development projects estimated to cost at least $143 million in total that could reshape care at the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing.
On Thursday, the board will vote to either approve or deny a request made by Sparrow to develop a 64-bed behavioral health hospital as a replacement for the facility currently located on the St. Lawrence campus.
According to a University of Michigan action request, the new facility will help provide adolescent inpatient or partial hospitalization programs, which are not currently offered at the St. Lawrence campus. This project is estimated to cost around $83 million and will be funded through “UM Health-Sparrow resources.”…
