No charges made in Berkeley County deputy-involved shooting death

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Newly obtained materials from a records request show details in the deputy-involved shooting in Berkeley County on April 22, 2025, that led to the death of Tyren Kinloch after the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division conducted its investigation.

The Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office sent a letter on July 25, 2025, and has decided not to press charges against Cpl. Cameron Blackmon in the shooting that resulted in the death of Kinloch.
