Nine people have applied to be considered to fill a Polk County Court judge vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Robert Griffin, according to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 10th Judicial Circuit.
The applicants are Jordan A. Wells, career attorney with the Second District Court of Appeal; Nicole Orr, assistant state attorney director of intake for the 10th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office; Taylor R. Bowen, a partner with Tampa law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson; Joseph Anthony Ravelo, an assistant U.S. attorney; Brenda A. Freeman, career state attorney with the Second District Court of Appeal; David Molloy, senior attorney with the Guardian Ad Litem Office; Norda Nathalie Swaby Boggs, a prosecutor with the 10th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office; Ruth Moracen Knight, assistant public defender with the 10th Judicial Circuit; and Todd Patrick Scholl, an associate attorney with the Panella Law Firm in Orlando.
