KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A 22-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Kingston Pike at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
THP said Austin D. Sanford was driving west on Kingston Pike while a 68-year-old was driving east in an Audi SUV. According to the report, the SUV began making a left turn to cross the road when Sanford tried to pass another vehicle by moving into the right lane, before swerving back into the left lane.
Sanford then hit the SUV, coming to an “uncontrolled rest at the point of impact.”…
