Owner of Flint Township home where more than 90 animals were found by police insists he’s done nothing wrong

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — “It was overwhelming filth. It was toxic air. It was death.”

That’s a quote from the Flint Township Police Department after they discovered 91 animals inside a Flint Township home. 27 of those animals were found dead.

“We love animals,” said Kim Shires, the home and pet owner. “We love them. I would not abuse. I would not hurt an animal.”…
