La Vergne considers dropping NES, pushes for representation on utility board

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Another Middle Tennessee city is considering dropping Nashville Electric Service following the utility’s disastrous winter storm response.

La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole is prepared to cut ties with the utility company if certain issues stay unresolved.

Cole recently sent a letter to NES President & CEO Teresa Broyles-Aplin inviting her to La Vergne’s next Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on March 3 to answer questions regarding NES’ response to Winter Storm Fern.
