Tennessee bill would up penalty for hands-free violations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee drivers caught holding their phones could soon face increased penalties.

A bill is making its way through the General Assembly now that would make fines more expensive.

Under the Hands Free Tennessee law, the first time you’re caught holding a phone, there is a $50 fine and a $10 court fee.
