One of the hallmarks of the print shop Bernard Moran ran for more than 50 years on Dousman Street was his annual calendar.
Each year, one of his drawings would appear at the top of the Moran’s Quality Printing calendar he hand-delivered to hundreds of customers as a thank you for their business. People eagerly waited to see what he would feature next, and they often collected the artwork.
From that bare apple tree he put on his first calendar in 1966 began an artistic journey of creating detailed pen and ink drawings of landmarks throughout Green Bay, De Pere and Allouez that would last for the next 45 years…
