Gov. Jeff Landry and Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois will be in Shreveport on Monday to announce details of at least two, and potentially three, area data centers, The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate has learned.
Those data centers include the west Shreveport data center to be built at the Resilient Technology Park at 7340 Greenwood Road, a data center in Caddo Parish near Blanchard north of Blanchard Latex Road along State Line Road and a third in Bossier Parish north of Benton at LA 3 and Old Plain Dealing Road.
The invitation to the 1 p.m. event at Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium states “Major Economic Development announcement of a new investment coming to Northwest Louisiana.” Entities mentioned to be part of the announcement include economic development officials along with AEP Swepco, Northwest Louisiana Finance Authority, the Parish of Caddo, the Parish of Bossier, the City of Shreveport, the City of Bossier, and the Town of Blanchard.
Data center players so far: Bohler – Frisco, Texas
All three proposed projects have been fronted by the same company- Bohler of Frisco, Texas, a firm that provides civil engineering, land surveying, architectural and design services.
