SHREVEPORT, La. — The Highland Area Partnership will hold its 22nd Annual Highland Jazz and Blues Festival Sept. 19 at Columbia Park in Shreveport.
This year promises to be a vibrant celebration of music, culture, and community, drawing jazz and blues enthusiasts from near and far for a funky party in the park.
Musicians and bands are invited to apply to perform at this year’s festival, which showcases a diverse lineup of talent featuring established and emerging musicians. Interested performers can submit their applications through the festival website, and the deadline for music applications is March 6.
The Highland Area Partnership is also bringing back the student poster contest to capture the spirit of the event. Student artists in 11th and 12th grades are encouraged to submit their designs for the official souvenir festival poster. The winning design will be featured as the official souvenir and the artist will receive a $500 cash prize along with recognition in the media. The deadline for poster contest submissions is March 27…
